New High Power Laser  
Closing the Gap between AFM and Optical Tweezers

A new high power laser (8W) is now available for our optical tweezers, the mmi CellManipulator, to take your research to a new level. We are closing the gap of force measurements between Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and optical tweezers. The mmi CellManipulator offers a contact-free alternative to the AFM technology. The following are the advantages of the new high power laser:

Highest Laser Power of commercially available Optical Tweezers worldwide
  • Higher trapping force of up to 800pN for cells and beads, up to 100pN for beads
  • Higher trapping stiffness
  • Higher trapping force of individual trap - up to 10 traps
Fiber Laser
  • True fiber laser transmission (not only fiber-coupled)
  • Better beam profile => higher trapping safety
